custom artificial eye

In the event of eye injury or disease, the eye may need to be completely removed. In this case, an opthalmologist performs a surgery called an enucleation. The healing time required varies with each patient. Generally 6 to 8 weeks is adequate. Then the fabrication of the prosthesis can start.

Polish and clean

Every six months, you should have the prosthesis cleaned and polished to remove any protein build-up that has accumulated on the surface of the eye. At that time, proper fit and cosmetic result will be evaluated.

We provide custom artificial eyes for patients with these conditions:

Enucleation
Evisceration
Congenital Anophthalmia
Congenital Microphtalmia
